Travel expenses are waived for locations within 20 miles (40 miles round trip) of North Ridge Park, Coralville ($28 value). Further travel is subject to the rate of 70 cents/mile round trip.

Yes, I provide the final, edited full-size JPEGs upon final payment (typically 10-20 for portraits, 20-100 for events). I do not share RAW files unless negotiated in the contract.

You can order prints, wall art, holiday cards, picture books and more directly from my website when you receive the final photos. The markup for buying from me is small, and it's hard to beat the convenience and quality!

Wear something you feel good in, but make sure to dress for the weather! If we are going to be in a wooded area, always wear close toed shoes and long pants. Feel free to bring props and accessories. Park restrooms aren't the nicest for changing, but you can bring alternate outfits depending on your comfort level!

Portrait sessions can last anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour or more, depending on the circumstances and contract agreement. My number one goal is for you to be comfortable, and my number two goal is to get as many good shots as possible!

You retain the rights to personal, non-commercial use of the finals from a session. I retain full ownership of all images (for use in my portfolio, etc.) unless an exclusive licensing agreement is signed.

In the event of dangerous weather (i.e. lightning, flooding, snowstorms or extreme temps) sessions will be rescheduled. Events cancelled due to weather are eligible for reschedule or refund of retainer.

If you are uncomfortable with certain weather conditions, please disclose this when you book a session. My gear is weatherproof and I am happy to shoot in safe weather conditions such as light rain or snow, and weather can make for fun and interesting results!

Before any services are rendered, I will provide a contract for you to review carefully, fill out, and sign. The purpose of a photography contract is to protect both the photographer and the client by defining the responsibilities of each party (services, payment, rescheduling/cancelling, and so on).

Please ask any questions you have about the contract before signing. You can always request additions or changes to the contract if it does not fit your needs.

What locations do you recommend for a portrait session?

There are many fantastic parks and outdoor spaces in the Iowa City area! Consider your needs first - are you an individual or couple looking for a fun photo session in the prairie? A family with young children who could benefit from restrooms and a playground? Or is your home your comfort zone? Anywhere works as long as natural light is available!
